Dynamical Critical Exponent for Two-Species Totally Asymmetric Diffusion on a Ring

چکیده
We present a study of the two species totally asymmetric diffusion model using the Bethe ansatz. The Hamiltonian has Uq(SU(3)) symmetry. We derive the nested Bethe ansatz equations and obtain the dynamical critical exponent from the finite-size scaling properties of the eigenvalue with the smallest real part. The dynamical critical exponent is 32 which is the exponent corresponding to KPZ growth in the single species asymmetric diffusion model.

Bethe Ansatz calculation of the spectral gap of the asymmetric exclusion process
We present a new derivation of the spectral gap of the totally asymmetric exclusion process on a half-filled ring of size L by using the Bethe Ansatz. We show that, in the large L limit, the Bethe equations reduce to a simple transcendental equation involving the polylogarithm, a classical special function. By solving that equation, the gap and the dynamical exponent are readily obtained. Our m...
متن کاملAsymmetric exclusion model with impurities.
An integrable asymmetric exclusion process with impurities is formulated. The model displays the full spectrum of the stochastic asymmetric XXZ chain plus new levels. We derive the Bethe equations and calculate the spectral gap for the totally asymmetric diffusion at half filling. While the standard asymmetric exclusion process without impurities belongs to the KPZ universality class with an ex...
متن کاملAsymmetric metal-insulator transition in disordered ferromagnetic films.
We present experimental data and a theoretical interpretation of the conductance near the metal-insulator transition in thin ferromagnetic Gd films of thickness b ≈ 2-10 nm. A large phase relaxation rate caused by scattering of quasiparticles off spin-wave excitations renders the dephasing length L(ϕ) ≲ b in the range of sheet resistances considered, so that the effective dimension is d = 3. T...
متن کاملExact Hurst exponent and crossover behavior in a limit order market model
An exclusion particle model is considered as a highly simplified model of a limit order market. Its price behavior reproduces the well known crossover from over-diffusion (Hurst exponent H > 1/2) to diffusion (H = 1/2) when the time horizon is increased, provided that orders are allowed to be canceled. For early times a mapping to the totally asymmetric exclusion process yields the exact result...
متن کاملA ug 2 00 6 Nonequilibrium stationary states with Gibbs measure for two or three species of interacting particles
We construct explicit examples of one-dimensional driven diffusive systems for two and three species of interacting particles, defined by asymmetric dynamical rules which do not obey detailed balance, but whose nonequilibrium stationary-state measure coincides with a prescribed equilibrium Gibbs measure. For simplicity, the measures considered in this construction only involve nearest-neighbor ...
